about croxroc

Hi croxroc® Family! (crocs-rock)

My name is Patrick Evans and I am the creator of croxroc®.

croxroc® is a story I wanted to create that would use animals from Australia to create a kids music band. The first thing that came to my mind was crocodiles and guitars, then it grew from there into "7 Aussie mates" that would be friends forever! (including one that is imaginary)

deep water bend

Once I had the 7 characters for the story, I wanted to make up a name for their town (where they lived and had adventures). After much time mixing and matching words together, there was one sure thing it had to contain, water, something every animal lives for. Eventually I arrived at 'Deep Water Bend' descriptive of a river full of life and winding through life; just like a river community.

Once the town name was created, I used Google Maps to look for a place with a similar name. To my surprise, there was a Deep Water Bend just 30 minutes away from where I was living at the time... I couldn't believe it! So I grabbed my car keys and ran out the door, yelling to my wife "I'll be right back". When I arrived, this is what I saw...

where is croxroc heading

While colouring in books were first made available through www.amazon.com, I went on to include music and sing-along videos, even digital nft's (ask mum or dad about those).

To see the books, go here, the books page.
To see the sing-along videos, go here, the videos page.
To listen to streaming music, go here, the music page.

Even though I had done much in progressing the content and making it available, I eventually decided to make a big change, and move everything from 2D to 3D. This, I was hoping, would help in the creation process, so I do not have to redraw any of the animals and what they were doing throughout the story.

I hope you like them!

Would you like to meet them?

meet the croxroc crew

In their friend song here, they sing of being the best of friends, and they want you to be their friend too!

Crocodile Junior

the main character from the croxroc® stories

His friends call him CJ

CJ is the main character in the story of croxroc. He is very young and very adventurous, but not as young as his brother!
He loves to see everything around him and when he is with his friends, he loves to play pretend.

CJ is also an Australian Saltwater Croc!

Bebee

a girl koala, the first to be friends with CJ.

Bebee or BB!

Bebee is one of the first friends that CJ meets at Deep Water Bend.
She is a very beautiful young girl that lives and sleeps in Gum trees. She loves rolling instead of running and her favourite colour is pink.

Bebee is a very cute and cuddly Australian Koala.

Bullion

Bullion the cowboy

Bulli is short for Bullion

Bulli likes his place, fields of grass and endless water supply. Life couldn't get much better; that is, until he joins the croxroc® crew!

Bulli is an Australian Holstein's Farm Cow, because Bulli is a boy cow he is referred to as a steer or a bull; Bulli!

Bubbles

Bubz, baby brother of CJ

CJ likes to call him Bubz!

Bubz is born in the first of the stories, and does not talk much, okay, he doesn't talk at all. But he sure looks cute in his egg-shell nappy!

Bubz is CJ's baby brother, so he is also an Australian Saltwater Croc! (just a really small one)

Marshall

Big Marshall or Big M

We all call him Big M

Marshall is really big for a bird, he towers over his parents, aunties, uncles and all of his cousins, which he has a lot of and they travel together a lot.
So everyone calls him Big M.

Even though the family move around a lot, they always return to Deep Water Bend. Sometimes Big M just stays and hangs with the others from the crew. His family love all the trees and bush there. They sit and talk all day, or yell, it gets a bit much for the neighbours; it can get very noisy.

Big M is an Australian Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, with a beautiful coat of snow-white feathers, highlighted with rich and solid yellow feathers on his head and under his tail and wings.

Red

Red the dog in this story

Just Red

Red is the name he got from the crew because his furry coat is always covered in Australian red dirt, which is surprising it stays on him when he never slows down, running around, zigging and zagging, rolling and jumping. He loves to hang with his friends and especially loves to visit everyone else at their home.

Red is an Australian Kelpie, we're just not sure if he is an Australian Red Kelpie under all that dirt? woof!

Dusty

Dusty is a magical unicorn and best mates with CJ

This is Dusty

Dusty is a little magical unicorn that sometimes pops around to visit CJ and the crew.

Dusty likes to take the crew on journeys through time and space, even to race around the moon!

She is an Australian Stock Horse, but with a magical horn, mane and tail that help magical things happen!
